This refers to Mr. B. J. Furr's letter of July 3,1980 in response to the Notice of Violation and the Notice of Proposed Imposition of Civil Penalties sent to you with our letter dated June 11, 1980.
This Notice of Violation accompanying our June 11, 1980 letter identified six items of noncompliance involving safety evaluation, radiation protection, and control of radioactive materials, resulting in radioactive material being released to the environment in excess of technical specification limits.
The specific corrective measures detailed in your response to the items of noncompliance will be reviewed during subsequent inspections to determine your effectiveness in preventing additional noncompliance.
This also acknowledges receipt of your check in the amount of $24,000 in full payment of the proposed civil penalties.
