This. refers to the Nuclear Regulatory Commissiin (NRC) inspection conducted by

A. Tillman on October 23-27, 1989.
The inspection included a review of
activities authorized for your Vogtle facility.
At the conclusion of the
!
inspection, the findings were discussed with those memtars of your staff
l'
identified in the enclosed Inspection Report.
Areas examined during the inspection are identified in the report.
Wi thin
these areas, the insp?ction consisted of selective examinations of procedures
,
and representative records, interviews with personnel, and observation of
'
,
activities in progress.
l
The inspection findings indicate that certain activities appeared to vioiste
^
NRC requirements.
Two of the three violations described in the enclosed
l
Inspection Report are under consideration for escalated enforcement action.
!
'
Accordingly..they are not included in the Notice of Violation being issued at
'
this time.
However, please be advised that the number and characterization of
,
violations described in the- enclosed Inspection Report may change ar a result
l
of further NRC review.
An Enforcement Conference to discuss these violations
