ENCLOSURE 1 V0G1LE ELECTRIC GENERATING PLANT' UNITS 1 & 2' SETTLEMENT MONITORING PROGRAM REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION (STRUCTURALANDGEOS'CIENCESBRANCH) r 1.(a) Provide a detailed description of the surveying procedures used to
- relocate settlement markers including' the details of quhlity 0
control / quality assurance procedures.
-i The staff is particularly interested in the methods and results'of relocating markers from inside a t
structure to a location outside the structure.
- (b) State-if, and how, the surveying procedures used in the settlement monitoring program at Vogtle meet the standards of professional surveying procedures accepted in the field.of surveying.
2.(a) Provide a layout and longitudinal section of buried pipelines showing location of markers; areas where the pipes are embedded in soils; and areas where they are routed through tunnels.
(b) Provide calculated and actual differential settlements experienced by
-buried pipes-going from soil to Category I ' structures, and compare them with the allowable-differential settlements.
