Thank you for your letter of July 10, 1980, informing us of steps you
have taken to correct the items of noncompliance concerning activities
under NRC Operatin9 License Nos. DPR-33, DPR-52, and DPR-68 brought to
your attention in our letter of June 16, 1980.
We concur with the corrective actions relative to noncompliance items
nos. 296/80-17-01 and 259/80-22-03. However, as discussed with J. Wills

of your staff by telephone on July 15, 1980, the corrective actions
!
relative to noncompliance items nos. 259/80-22-01 and 259/80-22-02 are
inadequate and unacceptable. The compensatory measures reflected in
your letter were in effect at the time the noncompliances were cited.
We understand from the discussion with J. Wills that you are committed
to further corrective actions regarding these two items, and providing
an additional response to this office within 20 days of receipt of this
letter.
We appreciate your cooperation with us.
