The Comission has issued the enclosed Amendgent No.12 to Facility Operating License No. DPR-72 for Crystal River Unit No. 3.
The amendment consists of changes to the Appendix B Technical Specifications in partial response to your ap lication dated November 8,1977.
This amendment waives the requirement to perform weekly quantitative sampling of fish and shellfish from the intake screens during the period intake canal modifications ara being conducted. The requirement

to perform daily visual checks of the screens has been retained.
The rest of your November 8,1977 application is being treated separately.
Changes to your proposal were necessary to meet our requirements.
