Dear Mr. Eisenhut:
The subject report covering the landslide stability investigations con-ducted on.the hills adjacent to the General Electric Test Reactor (GETR) is enclosed. 'Ihe results of these analyses confirm that there is no risk of movement beneath the reactor building and the most conservative assess-ment of possibic movement on existing shears triggered by an event on the (4
Calaveras fault of 7 to 7.5 Richter magnitude would result in movement of only a few centimeters. A landslide movement of this size would result in no new loads on the reactor building or fuel flooding system. These loads have already been analy:cd as a result of a postulated earthquake on the Verona and Calaveras faults.
i It is hoped that a Safety Evaluation Report Addendum regarding landslide stability can now be issued.
