Dear Mr. O'Reilly:

In response to your letter of April 4, 1980, which transmitted Nuclear Regulatory Cormission IE Bulletin 79-01A, we wish to advise that a review of the designs of Cherokee and Perkins Nuclear Stations has been conducted.

This review revealed that no SA-312 or A-312, Type 300 Series fusion welded pipe in use, or planned for use is subject to design stresses greater than 85 percent of the ASME Code allowable stresses.
