Dear Mr. O'Reilly:

In response to your letter of April 4, 1980, transmitting IE Bulletin 79-03A concerning longitudinal weld defects in ASME SA-312, Type 304 stainless steel p.ipe, Carolina Power & Light Company submits the following information:

Carolina Power & Light Company has only recently received the background information necessary to perform an engineering evaluation of the impact of this bulletin on our Robinson Plant. This evaluation cannot be completed by the original due date of the bulletin, August 6, 1980.

D Carolina Power & Light Company will provide you with the required information by September 22, 1980. Should you have any questions regarding this information, please contact my staff.
