Dear Mr. Grimes:

As I trust you know, I have been.trying on various occasions to reach you by telephone.

Since I have not had a return call, I am forced to proceed more fornTally by means of this letter.

This letter should be considered by you as a formal request for information under the Freedom of Information Act.

The information I am requesting is on behalf of the Seacoast Anti-Pollution League, an Intervenor in the Seabrook licensing proceeding.

We request the following:

1.

A statement of any documents, not available through the Federal Register, on which it was determined that the Seabrook Nuclear Power plant was one of 12 deserving special attention with regard to emergency planning.

I attach hereto a list of the 12 nuclear power stations forwarded under cover of a letter dated April 22, signed by John W.

Macy, Jr., and addressed to Governor Gallen for your information.

A statement of the ranking of Public Service on the list l

of 12.

That is, we desire to know if the listing of l

Seabrook as the number 6 site bears any significance in terms of prioritizing these units, and if the answer to this question is yes, we request any documents, not published in the Fede.eal Register, on which it was determined that the 5.eabrook plant deserved a particular rating.
