Gentlemen:

This refers to our meeting with J. R. Calhoun and others of your staff which was

conducted in the Region II office on May 21, 1980, at our request. This meeting

related to activities authorized by NRC Operating License Nos. DPR-33, DPR-52,

DPR-68 and DPR-77, for the Browns Ferry and Sequoyah Nuclear Plant facilities.

The discussion concerned TVA management control of problem areas. Your coopera-

tion and positive approach is appreciated.

It is our opinion that this meeting was beneficial and has provided for a better

understanding of inspection and enforcement issues. In accordance with Section

a copy of this letter and enclosure will be placed in the NRC's Public Document
