PENNSYLVANIA ELECTRIC COMPANY NOTICE OF ISSUANCE OF AMENOMENT TO FACILITY OPERATING LICENSE The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Ccautisr. ton (the Consission) has issued Amendment No. 11 to Facility Operating License No. DPR-73, issued to Metropolitan Edison Company, Jersey Central Power and Light Ccgany, and Pennsylvania Electric Cogany
'which revised Technical Specifications for operation of the Three Mile Island Nuclear Station, Unit 2 (the facility) located in Dauphin County, Pennsylvania.
The amendsunt is effective as of its date of issuance.
The amendment permits Dypassing the interlocks ' rom the Reactor Building Exhaust Monitors to Dagers & ring purging to the reactor building atmosphere pursuant to the Comissien's Order for Tegorary Modification of License d;ted June 12,1980, !n order to permit the purging operation to be conducted in accordance with the Cennission's Memorandum and Order of June 12,1980, and the Order for Tegorary Modification of License of that date.
The application for the amendment coglies with the standards and requirements of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended (the Act), and the Conais:icn's miss and regulations. The Ccanission has made appropriate 'indings as required by the Act and the Consission's rules and reguistions in 10 CFR Chapter I, which are set forth in the license amendment. Prior pubite nottce of this amendment was not required since the asentment does not involve a sig'nificant hazards censideration.
The Cesarission has determined that the issuance of this amendment will not result in any significant environmental igact and that pursuant to 10 CFR 551.5 (d) (4) an environmental isoact statement, or negative declaration and environmental ineact s
