License No. OPR-73 1.
The Nuclear Replatory Commission (the Consission) has found that:
A.
The application for amendment by Metropolitan Edison Cogany, Jersey Central Power and Light Cogany, and Pennsylvania Electric Cogany (the Licensee) dated June 23,19?0, coglies with the standards and requirements of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended (the Act) and the Commission's rules and replations sat forth in 10 CFR Chapter I; B.
The facility will operate in conformity with the Order for Modification of License dated July 20, 1979, the Order for Modification of License dated October. 18 1979, the Order of February 11, 1980, the Order for Tegorary Modification of License dated June 12, 1980, the provisions of the Act, and the rules and replations of the Comnission; C.
There is reasonable assurance (1) that the activities authcrized by this amendment can be conducted without endangering the health and safety of the public, a'nd (11) that such activities will be conducted in compliance with the Commission's replations;

The issuance of this amendment will not be inimical to the coseca defense and security or to the health and safety of the public; and.
E.
The issuance of tais amendment is ic accordance with 10 CFR Part 51 of the l1 Commission's regulations and all applicable requirements have been satisfied.

Accordingly, the license is amended by changes to the Technical Specifications as indicated in the attachment to this license amendment, by changing paragraph 2.C.(2)- to facility operating License No. OPR-73, to read as follows:

Only for the period of the purge of the TMI-2 reactor building atmosphere pursuant to the Consission's Order for Tesorary Modification of License dated June 12, 1980, Section 2.1.28.3 of the Appendix B Technical Specificatiens is superseded by the following:
Unit i valves AH-VIA and AH-Y18 shall be interlocked to close or recirculate on receipt of a high radiation signal from the Reacter Building Exhaust Monitor RM-A9. The interlocks from the Unit 2 Reactor Building Exhaust Monitors HP-R-225 and HP-R-226 which initiate closure or recirculation of the Unit 2 Dagers D5129 A/D and 05129 B/C may be bypaned in accordance with procedures approved pursuant to Appendix A Technical Specification 6.8.2.
