FAllenspach In June 1974, the Commission published Regulatory Guide 1.79, "Preoperational Testing of Emergency Core Cooling Systems for Pressurized Water Reactors,"

describing an acceptable test' program for ECCS.

It is our position that Florida Power Corporation should describe their provisions for meeting Regulatory Guide 1.79 relative to Crystal River, Unit 3.

Our position, as stated above, is consistent with actions being taken for other facilities.

The licensing project manager, Mr. L. Engle, has already discussed this matter. with you by telephone 'on June 13, 1975. At your request, a meeting _

har been scheduled for July 1, 1975 where the Florida Power Corporation can discuss Reaulatory Guide 1.79 with the NRC staff.

The meeting will take place at 1:00 p.m. in Room P-110 of the Phillips Building.
