With reference to our letter of Februsry 3,1972, concerning the incpection perforced on Jcnuary 11 - 12, 1972, we understood that you intended to co=plete an investigation effort to determine the cause of a series of low concrete strength cost results and that the invectigation vould include a revieu of the physical as well as the chemical acpects of concrete production. We also understood the results of the investigation uould be documented. Subsequent to the in:pection, our inspector indicated a need for a copy of the docu=ented results of the investigation. We request that you for-vard this material to this office at your earliest convenience.

Toledo Edison Company (Davis-Besse) - An inspection was conducted on January 11-12.
During the inspection, the licensee notified i
the inspectors of a possible concrete low strength problem.
Results of seven-day tests were low for several cylinders taken from pours made on December 28-29 and January 4.
As a result of these test cylinder failures, a stop order for
]
concrete production was issued on January 12.
The licensee has initiated an investigation to identify the causes of the low test results.
