e LO3 AUG 101972 NOTE FOR FILES -
TELECON WITH KEN CANADY, DUKE POWER COMPANY - AUGUST 9, 1972 FAILURE OF CLASS 2 FLUID SYSTEM - OCONEE K. Canady called to inform me that a quick look at the Oconee Class 2 fluid systems did not reveal any areas where it is conceivable that a failure in such a system could result in a Class I system becoming inoperative or cause-a loss of redundancy in the Class I system.
However, if one postulated the rupture of the condenser cooling water line inside the turbine building it may be possible for water to run to a lower elevation and potentially flood the high and low pressure injection pumps and the containment spray pumps.
He had no idea how much water this would take if it is at all feasible.
