Subject: .NRC Region I Inspection Report No. 50-443/89-09 L l This refers to the above subject safety inspection at the Seabrook Station, E Unit No.1, Seabrook, New Hampshire. The results of the inspection are de- ! scribed in the enclosed report and were discussed with Messrs. B. Drawbridge, - D. Moody and other members of your staff after the inspection. The areas inspected included operational safety, maintenance and surveillance activities, radiological controls, security measures and. logs, quality verifi- cation activities, reportable events, and technical review of certain design modification activities. No safety significant violations were observed and no issues which 61cectly affected public health or safety were identified. Certain activitiet requiring further licensee followup and action remain under NRC review as noted where appropriate in.the enclosed inspection report. Your cooperation with us is appreciated.
