The purpose of this meeting was to discuss the licensee's plans to resolve electrical issues prior to unit restart.

SUMMARY
j On September 14, 1989, a meeting was held between representatives of Florida Power Corporation and NRC management at the NRC Region 11 Office to discuss the licensee's plans to resolve various electrical issues prior to restart of the unit.
The licensee provided a general overview of the Crystal River Unit 3 electrical issues.
The licensee then presented a detailed discussion describing their p ogress toward resolving the issues.
The following topics were reviewed:
A station batteries, B)second level under voltage relays (SLURS),
C component DC voltage problems, and D) alternate source of transformer feeoer breaker replacement.
The licensee also presented an overview of the status and actions regarding other electrical issues which are ongoing.
These are included:
A)startup transformer, B) emergency diesel generators, C) configuration management for the electrical systems, and D) licensee's electrical calculations.
The licensee comitted to provide a letter to the Region within a week outlining their commitments in the various electrical areas and to provide an integrated schedule of planned electrical improvements.
The licensee, in a letter dated September 21, 1989, provided a detailed schedule of items to be completed prior to restart from the current outage and other milestones pertaining to the electrical issues at Crystal River Unit 3.
