Purpose:

To infonn the Comission of the receipt of a license application warranting special attention.

Discussion:

Enclosed for the information of the Comission are copies of a license application dated April 23, 1980 from Westinghouse Electric Corporation for the export of two recctors to Taiwan. General Electric also has applied for a license to supply these power reactors (see SECY 80-146).

Comissioner review will be necessary on this application.

Comissioners are requested to advise the staff of any i

pcrticular issues or information which they can identify at this stage and which they wish included in the staff's analysis.

Utilization Facility Export License / Taiwan Units 7 and 8 We respectfully request that pursuant to 10CFR110.51, license XR113 be amended to include two (2) additional units.

(Foryourconvenience, we are enclosing a copy of license XR113 and amendment 1).

In order to confirm the U. S. as a reliable supplier of nuclear energy, a clear objective of the NNPA, we ask that every effort be made to grant this amendment within the time specified in the NNPA.

Towards this objective, we propose that the "no material changed circumstance" provisions of the NNPA be exercised.

The following information, requested by 10CFR110, applies to the two additional units:
