Gentlemen:

l The State of Maryland and the fluclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) have again recently signed a contract for a cooperative program of environmental l

monitoring of selected facilities in Maryland. The scope and purpose of the contract is the same as stated in a letter to you dated August 23,1976 from this office.

In order to help implement the State program, it is requested that Baltimore Gas and Electric Company continue to collect the following samples for the State:

Sample Type and Size Collection Frequency BG&E Location Bottom Sediments - 4 kg Semi-Annually Plant Discharge Area Bay Water - 1 gallon Quarterly Plant Discharge Area Bay Water - 1 gallon Quarterly Plant Intake Area Oysters - 1 kg (flesh)

Semi-Annually Camp Conoy i

Food Stuffs - 4 liters (edible portion)

Annually On-Site Farms In addition, it is requested that a copy of your environmental sampling 4

schedule be provided to the State in order to better enable the St3 e to t

coordinate the pick-up and analyses of the above samples without undue delay.

It is also requested that you continue to notify the State promptly afur collection of samples to be split with the State.
