Attachment North Anna Power Station Unit 1 IE Bulletin 79-17, Revision 1 Final Report 1.

All of the visual inspections of each system were performed monthly from December 1979 thru March 1980.

The normally inaccessible welds were visually examined during the cold shutdown in December.

These examinations were performed in accordance with Item 2 of IE Bulletin 79-17 Rev. 1.

During the examinations above, particular attention vas given to both insulated and non-insulated piping for evidence of leakage and/or boric acid residues.

No evidence of any defective welds was found during the examinations.

On April 9 thru 12,1980 the ultrasonic examinations required by IE Bulletin 79-17, Rev. 1, Item 2 were performed on the following systems:

W Total The above examinations were focused on the weld root fusion zone and 1/2 inch on pipe I.-D.

No evidence of intergranular stress corrosion cracking was noted, as a result of the ultrasonic examinations.

All of the above examinations were performed in accordance with Vepco approved procedures.

All persennel were qualified in accordance with SNT-TC-1A.

All of the inspection reports and data sheets and all pertaining infor-mation will be on file in the Records Vault at North Anna Power Station.
