I. OPERATIONS SUIO!ARY Fort Calhoun was maintained in refueling shutdown during the month of April.
l Operaticas completed required surveillance tests and supported special maintenance functions as required.
Simulator trainin6 at Combustion Engineering facility in Windsor, l Connecticut, began in April.
Preparations for unit startup continued throughout April.

LER Number Deficiency _ .
LER-006 As directed by IE Bulletin 79-013 the transmitter lead splices on HPSI Loop Flow Transmitters, the Pressurizer Pressure Trscenitters and the Steam Generator Pressure TransmittLr= lack sufficient documentation to insure that the transmitters vill remain operable in a POST LOCA environment. The splices will be coated with RTV31h5 clear adhesive, which is a LOCA qualified adhesive / sealant.

E. RFSULTS OF LEAK RATE TESTS During the =enth of April, 1980, the plant was in a Refueling Shutdown condition. Local leak rate test continued on an "as needed" basis after valve and penetration repair. A comprehensive leak rate report will be forthecming.

Training during the centh of April included Radiation Protection for contract. personnel working on site, Cycle 6 training for all operators and Monitor Team training. Siralator Requalification Training at the Cc=bustion Engineering Simulator in Windsor, Connecticut, began during the month.
