GRAND GULF NUCLEAR STATION, UNIT NOS. 1 AND 2 NOTICE OF ISSUANCE OF AMENDMENTS TO CONSTRUCTION PERMITS Notice is hereby given that the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Comission (the Comission) has issued Amendments No. 5 to Construction Permits CPPR-ll8 ard CPPR-119 issued to the Mississippi Power & Light Company et_ al., for construction of the Grand Gulf Nuclear Station, Unit Nos. I and 2.
These amendments allow a change in the Environmental Protection Program to delete a requirement for monitoring and documenting stage and correlating stage with surface water quality measurements.
The amendments are effective as of the date of issuance.
The application for the amendments complies with the standards-and requirements of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended, and the Comission's rules and regulations. Prior public notica of these amendments is not required since the amendments do not involve a significant Mzards consideration.
The Comission has determined that the issuance of these amendments will not result in 'any significant environmental impact and that pursuant to 10 CFR Section 51.5(d)(4), an environmental impnt statement or negative declaration and environmental impact appra bal need not be prepared in connection with issuance of these amendments.
