Gentlemen:
Thank you for your letter of February 20, 1980, informing us of steps you
have taken to correct the items of noncompliance concerning activities
under NRC Operating License Nos. DPR-38, DPR-47 and DPR-55 brought to your
attention in our letter of January 28, 1980. We will examine your corrective
actions and plans during subsequent inspections. With regards to your
comments concerning the scope of inspections and associated reports, it has
been our policy and will continue to be our policy to request responses to
items we consider to be of safety significance whether or not there is a
regulatory requirement, license condition, commitment, etc.
We feel that
verification of valve line-ups,is of safety significance.
