My letter dated September 14, 1976 informed you of our intentions to perform a study of the probability of a failure of the Reactor Coolant System in the annular region between the reactor vessel and the cavity shield wall in order to address concerns relative to the Oconee Nuclear Station Reactor Vessel Support System requested by your.
It was expected that this study would be completed by December, 1976. However, due to initiating contractual arrangements for the study and the acquisition of data necessary to perform the study, this report is now scheduled to be submitted in April, 1977.
