Deficiencies have been identified in the ejected rod worth calculations on which your rod withdrawal limits are based.
Based on our review of information from BGV, your present rod withdrawal curves are valid until the time of control rod interchango, after which time potential ejected rod worths greater than 1*. Ak/k nay result when operating with your current Technical Specifications and your present fuel cycle.
Before you plan to operate following control rod interchange, you are requested to submit either:
(1) results of analysis and/or experi:aent which show that your existing rod position limits assure t*ut the maximum ejected rod worth is less than the allowable limits (Technical Specification 3.S.2.3) after control rod interchange occurs, or (2) revised rod position limits in the form of proposed Technical Specifications with supporting analysis w'lich assure that the maxim m ejected rod wroth is less than the allowable limits (Technical Specification 3.S.2.3) after control rod interchange occurs.
