Gentlemen:
This refers to the inspection conducted by Mr. Warnick of this office
on April 28 and 30, 1973, of activities authorized by AEC Operating
'
License No. DPR-38 for the Oconee Unit 1 facility, and to the discus-
sion of our findings held by Mr. Warnick with Mr. Smith of your staff
,
at the conclusion of the inspection.

Areas examined during this inspection are as described in the enclosed
inspection report No. 50-269/73-4. Within these areas, the inspection
consisted of selective examinations of procedures and representative
f
records, interviews with plant personnel, and observaticns by the
inspectors.
Within the scope of the inspection, no violations or safety items were
observed.
In accordance with Section 2.790 of the AEC's " Rules of Practice,"
Part 2, Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations, a copy of this letter

and the enclosed inspection report will be placed in the AEC Public
