The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff has received your submittal dated September 24, 2019 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS)
Accession Number ML19284C446), transmitted by Letter 19-057. The incoming cover letter,, and Enclosure 2 are publicly available. Enclosure 3 will not be publicly available because of its proprietary designation.
We have completed our acceptance review of your submittal and have identified no administrative omissions or deficiencies that would prevent us from proceeding with a detailed review. Your submittal has been assigned Enterprise Project Identifier (EPID)
L-2019-DFA-0012. Please reference this EPID number and Docket Number 70-27 in any future correspondence associated with this request.
Please note that the NRC staffs technical review of your submittal may identify issues that require additional information. Based on our preliminary evaluation and projection of current review schedules, we anticipate completing our formal review by January 31, 2020. This date could change depending on the findings of our technical review, urgent assignments, or other factors. We will promptly communicate any significant changes to this schedule. In addition, the NRC staff estimates that completing the review of your submittal will require up to 10 staff hours, which corresponds to about $2,780.00 ($278.00/hr.).
The NRC staff has identified that a signed Certification of Financial Assurance is missing from your submittal. A Certification of Financial Assurance is required by Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Section 70.25(e)(1)(iv). Guidance on this document is provided in NUREG-1757, Consolidated Decommissioning Guidance, Volume 3, Financial Assurance, Recordkeeping, and Timeliness, Rev. 1, Sections A.2.5 and A.2.4. Please submit a signed original within 30 days of receipt of this letter.
In accordance with Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Section 2.390 of the NRCs Agency Rules of Practice and Procedure, a copy of this letter will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room, or from the Publicly Available Records component of the NRCs ADAMS.
