5.0 -DESIGN BASES - STRUCTURES AND EQUIPMENT

' 5.79 ' Discuss the maximum tornadic wind conditions that each exposed Class I (Seismic) structure and component can withstand. Provide' a discussion of.the effects of the tornado generated missiles, under the conditions mentioned above, on plant safety. Provide infornation q

4 9.'45 Forcall vessels that-contain gas under pressure (such as nitrogen, chlorine, hydrogen, oxygen, air and CO2 tanks)'in the proximity of equipment. essential for safe and maintained shutdosu of the plant, provide the following:

'(a) the design and operating pressure, (b) the maximum pressure of the gas supply,

(c) the location of the vessel, (d) the total energy released if the vessel should rupture,

-(e) the possibility of the vessel.or its parts to act as a missile,

-(f) the protective measures taken to prevent the loss of function of

- adjacent equipment essential-for a safe and maintained reactor

shutdown,

(g) for.each vessel identify, discuss, and provide the basis for any exception or deviation'as compared to applicable portions of the 1 Occupational Safety and Health Administration OSHA 20 CFR 1910 Sub-part H - Hazardous Material Sections 1910.101 Compressed Gases, 4
