On the basis of our continuim; raview of the Final Safety Analysis Report (FSAR) for Crystal 'iver, Unit 3 Nuclear Generating Plant, we find that there are several conditions that nust be met prior to licensing.
The Regulatory position on aaca of these conditions is described in the enclosure and refercncci to the appropriate section of the FSAR.
The referenced FSAR sections era as follows:
2.0 Site and Environment, 4.0 Reactor Coolant Systen, 6.)
ngineered Safeguards, 11.0 Radioactive i
Waste and Radiation Protection, and 15.0 Technical Specifications.
In order to caintain our licensing review schedule, we vill need a completely adequate response to enclosed position statements by August 2 5, 1973. Please infern us within 7 days after receipt of this letter of your confirmation ef the achedule date or the date you will be able to meet.
If you cannot meet our specified date or if your reply is not fully responsive to our request, it is highly likely that the overall schedule for completing the licensing review for the project will have to be ex*. ended. Since reassignment of the staff's efforts will require ccepiecion of the new assignment prior to returning to this proj ect, the extent of the extension will most likely be greater than the elay in your response. Please contact us if you have any questic regarding the information requested.
