Seyfrit y DESCRIPTION OF ITEM REQUIRING RESOUlTION: Florida Po-ter Corporation has discovere.1 that two burahm poisen rod assecblies have noved out of their neraal' positica in the Crystal River Unit 3 core. The probica was disclosed as a resait of noise signals frcn the "B" steam ocnerator noise ronitor, detected during reactor operatica. On the sixth of March, felicwing reactor shutdc% battered parts n ca a burnable poison rod assachly were found. in the tcp of the 3 steam generator. -These inc1 M ed tna coupling asse dly;and pieces of paisen rod. After vossal head remal a second poison; rcd csserchly was found to have teved about six feet.out of the core.phere it remainod fixed. Sone of the poison rods have brokca':frca this assembly and rc: rained down in the' core. Fire fuel assedlies!were reaoved from the core, by the licensen, to disclose note pieces of broken poisdonrod -in the structure belerthe core."Significant dacage was: caused by carts of. the first assembly impi.nging oni the."B" steam generator. upper tube .-414 %[.W ends.
