CPPR-51, DOCKET NO. 50-302 The attached report of an inspection of the subject facility by our inspectors on July 29-30, 1969, is forwarded for infomation. No items of noncon#ormance were noted.
The site construction work is still being limited to site preparation activities which, at present, involve dewatering operations, excavation and consolidation grouting.
Our inspectors have made an in-depth review of the site sub-structure.
p) g Although the size of some fissures is somewliat alaming, we feel that k'
the grouting and backfill operations will provide a sound structure.
The licensee has advised us that there will be a nine month delay in the delivery of the B&W reactor pressure vessel, but that this should not delay the reactor completion achedule more than four months.
