J ENCLOSURE Docke t No. 50-346 One activity under your construction permit appears to be in noncon-fonsance with requirements of the Bechtel Purchase Specification No.
7749-H-190, Revision 2, Part 1, as indicated below:
The Bechtel specification establishes that, for nuclear piping, the requirements of the ASME Code, Section III-1971, Classes I, II, and III shall include the Code Partial Data Report Forms.
Paragraph NA-8415 of ASME Code, " Piping Subassemblies," states, in part, that " Data reports for piping subassemblies requiring inspection under this subsection shall be executsd on Fone NPP-1 by the subassembly fabricator and the inspector for subassemblies or sections of piping." Exclusions permitted by Paragraph NA-8415 are only that the certification of the design puttion of the fona need not be completed.
Contrary to the above, the NPP-1 data reports, for three lots of component cooling and service water piping (Class III) shipped to the site, were incomplete in that information was not provided in Item 7 of the data reports (class of piping) nor with respect c.
