This refers to the inspection conducted by Hessrs. Hayes and Bohrbecher of this office on April 10- 12, 1972, of construction activities at the Davis-lesse site authorised by AEC Construction Pensit No. CFFE,80 and to the discussion of our findings at the conclusion of the inspection with you and Messrs. Seward, St.hults, Innardson, and others of your staf f.
Areas awmadned during the inspection included efforts on your N
part to resolve a potentist problem reisted to indications of low compressive strength concrete, Class I materist storage conditions, Class I piping installation pisas, gestity records and inats11stion of Class I structures, sed site goality assursace audits by Toledo Edison company personnel. Within these stess, the inspection consisted of selective avsednation of procedures and representative records, intervises with plant personnel, and obserwstions by the inspectors.
No items of noncompliance with ABC requirements usre identified within the armes evaudnad daring this inspection.
With regard te gesstions reised during this inspection, we under=
stand that you intend to (1) assure that final, syproved copias of revised concrete sampling and testing procedures are obtained and p1 meed on file at the site to replace existirg, approved interbs procedures, (2) review Class I material storage provisions and take steps, as necessary, to maintain consistently prepar storage, (2) obtain records to verify that flange bolts for the weste gas decay tanks smet the specified materist requirements, and (4) obtain reccrds to verify that the steam generator support components t

Tolede Edison Company May 10, 1972 were subject to NDT by qualified technicians. Our inspectors will etamine your action on these matters during our next routine inspection.
