The schedule for our review of your operating license application which is contained in our November 23, 1973 and March 1, 1974 letters to you, required completion of your responses to our first-round requests for information by July 5, 1974. We have eca.tved responses to those requests by FSAR Amendnent Nos. 17 thru 21, Revisions 3 thru 7 respec-tively, and va are resuming our detailed review in order to prepare our positions.

As our review progresses, we vill forward to you any additional questions we may have or requests for information which are necessary in order for un to complete our first-round review. Also as our positions on review matters are developed, they will be forwarded for your early consideration.

We urge that you give i=nediate attention to matters listed below sinec delay in co pletion of our first-round review may impact heavily on our overall review schedule.

LOCA Analysis and ECCS Design As you are avsre, and as noted in our August 28, 1973 and December 26, 1973 letters to you, your application is deficient in information related to LOCA analysis and ECCS design.

It is our understanding that you intend to provide this information in Deceder 1974 and that the information will incorporate the new ECCS rule (10 C7R 50, Appendix K).

Please confirm this understanding by providing us with your schedule for submittal so that we may in turn schedule our effort and determine the impset of this phase of our first-rcund review on the overall review schedule.

Quality Assurance for Operation

As a result of our meeting with you on July 17, 1974 regarding quality assurance for operations, it is our ut.derstanding that you will revise section 17.2 of the FSAR and resubmit the revised section by August 15, 1974.

_ Industrial Security Plan _

It is our understanding that you intend to submit your Industrial Security Plan in August 1974. Please provide us with your schedule date for this submittal.

= +. Radioactive Materials Safety The AP.C recently issued Rerulatory Guida 1.70.3, " Additional Information Radioactive Materials Safety for Nuclear Power Plants".

February 1974 This guide describes the informatien which should be included in the FSAN,as Section 12.4, " Radioactive ".aterials Safety". In addition to submitting this section, you should propose Technical Specification; which state your surveillanca requirements designed to assure the safe handling and storage of radioactive materials.

The enclosure to this letter contains the status of first-round responses as of July 5,1974. The status as of February 23. 1974 was enclosed with our March 1, 1974 letter.
