RVollmer JKastner In respence to your letter of December 12, 1973 regarding the Reviev Schedule for the Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station, we have reviewed the schedule and have advanced the Prospective Decision Date from Septenber 1, 1975 to August 1, 1975 as you suggested. The only impact this change vill have on other key milcatones is to advance the post ACES Safety Evaluation Report Supplement from August 1,1975 to July 15, 1975.

(Refer to our schedule letter to you dated November 23, 1973.)

In addition to reviewing the schedule, we have conducted a preliminary review of your responses to first-round requests for information to the extent that time has per=1tted to date. The purpose of the preliminarf review was to highlight any obvious areas of deficiency in your responses at en early date. Therefore, it should not be interpreted that the review is complete or necessarily thorough. However, ve hope the information vill be useful to you.

Enclosed is a list of the outstanding requests which either have net received a response or the corresponding responses may require additiorail inforr.ation or clarification for our review. The requests are numbered as they were in the original request letters and are in three categories:

I.

Requests to which the applicant has postponed response until future FSAR submittals.
