Un January lo,19/d.+ a iaei.iber of our operator licensing staff was assigned to the IRC Region II Office as the Operator Liceising dranch Regional Representative.
This transfer has been nade as part of a pilot test program which incluaes evaluation et tna feasibility of; regionalizing the Operator Licensing Sranen functions.
Mr. Joseph J. iluzy of our office nas been selected'for tnis position.

-ne will assist in conductinq exaniinations at power reactors ano audit requalification prograin written examinations in tne Retifon. He will review any changes to tne licensed operator requalification programs.
Periodically, the Representative will audit training programs at utility and. vendor training centers. All these assignments will ae perturaed in accordance with kRR' procedures. When audits and reviews are can-pletec, he will f orward his rectanendations to Headquarters.
When assigned by the Regional Director, the OL3 Representative sill aucit training and requalification pronrams at any racili ty.

ed which are issued by the Regional Office. Audits of this nature will be performed in accordance with IE procedures.
Inspection results of training programs are used Dy the NRC to validate connaitments made in the safety analysis report, the facility license and on individual applications. Inspection results of requalification programs are also used in evaluation of applications of renewal of licenses.
