2. NRC letter dated May 6, 1980 concerning an inspection con-ducted on March 26-27, 1980.

Dear Sir:

As requested in your May 6, 1980 letter, we are informing you of the actions we have taken or plan to take involving the areas of your concerns.

As stated during the inspection, we have reviewed Regulatory Guide 2.6 and plan to write an emergency plan. Currently there is no requirement for us to have an emergency plan, but there will be when the draft rule being reviewed by the Commission is approved. Since we have a ten megawatt research reactor, we will have one year from the effective date of the new rule to submit _

an emergency plan.

The facility emergency procedures have been issued with the 1979 revisions included. The Reactor Manager will insure that future revisions prepared pursuant to his review in conformance -

with Technical Specification requirements are issued in a timely fashion.

The Research Reactor Facility has conducted refresher train-ing covering our facility's emergency procedures in the past
