Your letter of April 4, 1980, requesting action by South Carolina Electric & Gas Company within one-hundred and twenty (120) days with regard to the subject IEB has been reviewed.
It has been determined that the design of the Virgil C. Summer NuclearStationdoesnotallowtheuseofASMESA-312/A-312, type 3003C[
Series welded pipe (without filler metal) in safety related systems, and there have not been any deviations from these design criteria.
