In accordance with Arkansas Nuclear One - Unit 2 Technical Specification 6.9.1.9.b, attached is the subject report concerning the failure of Diesel Generator #1 which was tripped manually from the Control Room due to unit load oscillation and vibration during an 18-month surveil-lance test.

This is an update of a previous report submitted May 20, 1980.
