Identification of Occurrence:
Failure to have two chancels of Borated Water Storage Tank level indication operable as required by Table 3.3-10 of Technical Specifications 3.3.3.5.

Conditions Prior to Occurrence:
Mode 1 power operation 7.
Description of Occurrence:
At 1500 the "A" Borated Water Storage Tank level channel was taken out of service to i
perform maintenance, as there had been a disagreement between the indications of the "A" and "B" channels. A determination was made that the "A" channel was in error.
The action statement of Tech Spec 3.3.3.6 was entered and maintenance restored the "A" channel operability'of 13 July 1977.
% Designation of Apparent Cause:
This event was due to a calibration shift of the "A" level transmitter.

Analysis of Occurrence:
There was no safety hazard to the plant or public, as the redundant "B" channel of level indication was operable and in service.

Corrective Action:
None required as normal maintenance restored operability.
