- 40. hPF-3 FOR DAVIS-BESSE NUCLEAR POWEP. STATI0'1, TWIT 10.1 We have been infomed by the Office of Inspection and Enforcement that they find your installation of a second oxygen monitor in the Jaseous radwaste system which now provides redundant oxygen monitors that will alam locally and in the control room at the specified set points is in accork nce with the stipulations of Paragraph 2.C.(3)(c) of Facility Operating License No. NPF-3.
Therefore, the Muclear Regulatory Conmission has issued t5e enclosed Anend.wnt ilo. S to Fic111ty Operating L' cense No. NPC-3 which is effective as of the date of issuance, and revises the Facility Operatinq License by deleting the licensing condition stated in paragrwh 2.C.(3)(c).
We have detemined that Amendrcent No. 5 does not authorize a channe in affluent tvpes or total amounts nor an increase in mer level and will not result in any significant environnental imnact. Havinq nade this determination, we have further concluded that the amendr'ent involves an action which is insignificant from t'.e standpoint of environmental impact and, pursuant to 10 CFR Section 51.5(d)(4), that an environmental 1.mpact statenent, or negative declaration and envirnn. mental impact, appraisal need not be prepared in connection with the issuance of this anendment.
Copies of the Federal Register Notice of Issuance of faendment Mo. 5 and the Safety Evaluation Supoorting Amendment No. 5 to License No. NPF-3 are also enclosed.
