This refers to the the inspection conducted by Mest,rs. Sutton

and Key of this office on December 22-23, 1975 and January 5-6,

1976, of activities at Davis-Basse Nuclear Power Plant Station

Unit 1 authorized by HRC Construction Permit No. CPPR-80 and

to the discussion of our findings with Messrs. Novak and

Lenardson and others of your staff at the conclusion of the

inspections.

A copy of our report of these inspections is enclosed and identi-

fies the areas examined during the inspections. Within these

areas, the inspections consisted of a selective =-4etion of

procedures cud representative records, interviews witl plant

personnel, and observations by the inspectors.

hiring the inspections, it was found that certain of your

activities appear to be in noncompliance with NRC require-

mants. The item and reference to the pertinent requirements

is listed under Enforcement Action in the Summary of Find-

ings section of the enclosed inspection report. Prior to

the conclusion of the inspections, the inspectors determined

that corrective action hcd been taken with respect to this item

of noncompliance and that neacureo have been tchen to assure

that a nimilar, future nonecc:pliance will be cvoided. Con-

sequently, no reply to this letter is required, and we hcve

no further qucations regarding this mattor at this time.
