The enclosed report was prepared by the L: RS, Electrical, Instrumentation and Control Systems Branch for use in Supplement No. 2 to the original Oconce Safety Evaluation Report.
In accordance with your memo of July 17, 1972, we have reviewed Section 8.0 of the original Safety Evaluation and Section 8.0 of the draft Suppicment No. 2 to that report.
Since the EI&CS Branch was not involved with the investigation and resolution of the prob 1cm manifested by the Parch 8, 1972, fire in the Unit 1 control rod drive system, this subject is not discussed in the enclosed report.
