In response to your letter of August 14, 1974 which transmitted RO 50-269/74-5, my letter of September 9, 1974 Inspection Report identified target dates for resolution of problems associated with Monitors RIA-33 and -34 process monitors at Oconee Nuclear Station.

Appropriate modifications have been cade to the monitors for Oconee Unit 1, and the test and evaluation period required will co=cence when unit operation resumes following its refueling outage.

After approximately one month of testing and provided the results are favorable, the other monitors will be modified within six weeks.
