This refers to the inspection conducted by Mr.

F. Jape of this office

on April 25-27, 1973, of the activities authorized by AEC Construction

Permit No. CPPR-34 for the Oconee 2 facility, and to the discussions

held with Mr. J. E. Smith of your staff at the conclusion of the

inspection.

Areas examined during this inspection are as described in the enclosed

inspection report No. 50-270/73-5. Within these areas , the ' inspection

consisted of selective examination of procedures and representative

records, interviews with plant persennel, and cbservatiens by the

inspector.

No violations or safety items were identified witbin the scope of

this inspection.

In accordance with Section 2.790 of the AEC's " Rules of Practice," Part 2,

Title 10, Code of Federal Fegulations , a ecpy of this letter and the

enclosed inspection report will be placed in the AEC's Public Document

'

Room.

If this rdport contains any information that you believe to be
