Gentlemen:
This refers to the inspection conducted by Messrs. F. Jape and C. M. Campbell
of this office on May 14-17, 1973, of the activities authorized by AEC Con-
struction Permit No. CPPR-34 for the Oconee 2 facility, and to the discussion
,
held with Mr. J. E. Smith of your staff at the conclusion of the inspection.
,
Areas examined during this inspection are described in the enclosed inspec-
tion report No. 50-270/73-6.
Within these areas, the inspection consisted
of selective examination of procedures and representative records, inter-
views with plant personnel, and observations by the inspectors.
No violations or safety ite=s were identified within the scope of this
inspection.
Our review of the testing requirements for the core flooding system, which
was brought to your attention in our letter dated April 16, 1973, has been
completed.
We have reviewed Test Procedure 201/7, "Coce Flooding System
Flow Test," which was provided by Mr. J. E. Snith.
There are no further
questions or coc=ents on the test method.
Your review and evaluation of

the test results will be examined during a subsequent inspection.
In accordance with Section 2.790 of the AEC's " Rules of Practice," Part 2,
Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations, a copy of this letter and the enclosed
inspection report will be placed in the AEC's Public Document Room.
