Gentlemen:
This refers to the inspection conducted by Mr. F. Jape of this office
on August 28-31, 1973, of activities authori::ed by AEC Construction
Permit No. CPPR-34 for the Oconee 2 facility, and to the discussion
of our findings held by Mr. F. Jape with Mr. J. W. Hampton at the
conclusion of the inspection.
Areas examined during the inspection and our findings are discussed
in the enclosed inspection report. Within these areas, the inspection
consisted of selective examination of procedures and representative
records, interviews with personnel, and observations by the inspector.
Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were disclosed.
Two new unresolved items resulted from this inspection and are
identified in Section III of the summary of the enclosed repprt.
These items wf11 be examined on subsequent inspections.
In accordance with Section 2.790 of the AEC's " Rules of Practice,"
Part 2, Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations, a copy of this
letter and the enclosed inspection report will be placed in the AEC's

Public Document Room.
If this report contains any information that
