Docket #50-333 Inspection 78-14 Letter from J. D. Leonard, Jr. to B. H. Grier Dated September 1, 1973 (JAFP-78-423)
Dear Mr. Grier:
With reference to the inspection by Messrs. Markowski and Ruhlman of your office on July 12-14, 1978 and July 17-21, 1978, the James A.
Fit: Patrick Nuclear Power Plant is providing information relating to the current status and anticipated completion of incorporating plant records into a Records Management System which meets the requirements of ANSI N45.2.9 (Inspection Item 78-14-06).
As noted in the referenced response to inspection 78-14, the Power Authority of the State of New York has been continuously involved in an ef fo rt to meet the requirements of ANSI N45.2.9 since 1976.
A computerized Records Management System *was placed in service on August 28, 1978. In the intervening Jifn' full months since that date, the Records Management System has been fully implemented and now processes, on a routine basis, all incoming and outgoing correspondence, records, and similar plant related materials with regulatory agencies, the Power Authority Headquarters organization, our Architect Engineer organization, and other similar organi-
- ations.
In addition, the system now contains the plant systems files.
Further, a portion of the plants general files have been indexed and incor-porated into the system at this time.
The remaining plant files (primarily archival records) have been reorganized and their temporary storage has been made more secure by placing a large portion of these records in storage areas which are protected by automatic sprinkler systems.

e Based on our experience with the computerized Records Management System to date and giving due consideration to the desirability of a uniform work load for the clerks and supervisors which deal with the system on a daily basis, we now expect that it will require approximately five years to complete the processing of the plants general files and archival records.
