Dear Mr. Hathway:

In accordance with your conversation with our Mr. Nixon on May 29,1980, we are enclosing a copy of our " Guideline for Decontamination of Facilities and Equipment Prior to Release for Unrestricted Use or Termination of Licenses for Byproduct, Source or Special Nuclear Material," November 1976.

The decontamination work and radiation survey requirements apply only to contamination re ulting from activities performed under Material License No.

SNM-1015; not to activities performed under a license issued by the State of Texas.

Please note the requirement in the Guideline (Item 5) that a copy of the survey report be sent to us at least 30 days prior to the planned date of license termination.
