DOCKET NO. 50-302 Dr. P. Y. Baynard Manager, Nuclear Support Services Florida Power Corporation P. O. Box 14042 - C-4 St. Petersburg, Florida 33733

Dear Dr. Baynard:

By letter dated June 2,1980, you transmitted an " Evaluation of Steam Line Break Consequences Associated with Removal of Rupture Matrix Signals from Emergency Feedwater Valves" to the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation (0NRR).

The evaluation pertains to the Crystal River Unit No. 3 facility (License No. DPR-72).

The CNRR staff has advised us that this evalu'ation requires review and approval and involves consideration of a single safety issue. As such, it requires a Class III fee of $4,000 pursuant to 10 CFR 170.22.

It is requested that $4,000 be remitted to this office. If the final review of your June 2 submittal by the ONRR staff reveals that this fee is incorrect, an adjustment will be made.

Sincerely, LY A
